Johns Creek Real Estate
is the 10th largest city in Georgia and one of the newest. Founded and incorporated in 2006, Johns Creek is located in north Fulton County
and is the fastest-growing municipality in the state.
Johns Creek is a suburban community of approximately 70,000 people in a 32 square mile area. Situated 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, the city is a green and verdant oasis, but still a part of the Metro Atlanta area with easy access to the best Atlanta has to offer.
Johns Creek is known for its beautiful, established neighborhoods -- the majority of which have been developed since the 1980s, which give them a lushness not found in newer areas. For many years, the area was a rural farming community.
The schools in north Fulton County are well-known and well-respected; Johns Creek's schools are no exception. Johns Creek's public school students are consistently ranked at the top of national test scores and balance that excellence in all facets of school life: academic, athletic and extra-curricular. The City also have convenient access to a wide array of private schools.
The emphasis on greenspace continues from the neighborhoods to the City's four parks -- Autry Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center, Newtown Park (which includes a dog park), Ocee Park, and Shakerag Park. The park spaces include playing fields, playgrounds and picnic areas, dog parks and walking/running trails, as well as creek areas perfect for hiking and areas preserving historic groves of oak trees. Additionally, the City boasts five units of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, giving local access to the 48-mile section of the Chattahoochee River National Park.
The City government provides the majority of public services to its residents, including Police and Fire and it's own new 9-1-1 emergency services. It has a City Council/City Manager form of government.
Johns Creek is a great place to live, work and play!
